Re: Rigging
At first I thought there was an error in the picture,
but then I realized it was because you were running
lazy guys (double sheets). It would be easier to see
if the pinnaker sheets were different colors, especially
where they meet the spinnaker. I had a hard time seeing
which were the sheets & guys and which lines were the
outline of the spinnaker itself.
On end-4-end jibes w/ double sheets... leave the lazy
sheet out of the pole end and put only the active guy
in the pole end fitting.
You can put what will be the new guy into the pole
end right away as you detach the pole from the mast.
Then just trip the sheet and push the pole out, snap
it to the mast ring, and yell "MADE" to the guys back
in mahogany row (aka afterguard).
It really is up to the trimmer(s) and helm to make
it easy for the bowman to do the gybe. When it goes
correctly it is so easy and smooth...
