The SJ-24 is small enough that you don't need them.
On the bigger boats it is easier to hook the end of
the pole to the lazy afterguy than to do it when
it's under tension. If you only have one line to
each clew/tack it is always under tension.
In light air you don't connect the lazy sheets,
they are not used until the wind can support both
lines.
