On the Synergy 1000 using a retractable bow sprit the ONLY option is
to have redundant sheets. One on port and one on starboard. Both
going to the same clew. Just like we do on the SJ24 Genoa. All the
foredeck person needs to do on that boat is to hold on and try not
fall overboard.
I assume you are not talking about the Synergy when you say it takes
45 sec to Jibe. With a good crew we rutinly end for end jibe my Dash
(34 ft with an awful lot of sails) in about 10 sec without even
braking out in a sweat. I take 60 sec to jibe it when I am
singlehanding using my Autohelm and I dont even come close to look
rushed or frantic.
