I have a generic version of the same SS motor mount. I bought it
because it is adjustable for transom slope. Works great. See the
photo under Matta II, Stern Rail to catch a glimpse of it. Made it
even better recently by removing the SS up/down lever and substituting
a pair of tackle (a double block with becket to a triple block) and a
clam cleat. One set of tackle lowers the motor until the parallel
arms bind and the other set raises it. I now have 17+" of travel, so
my prop stays in the water even with my 250lb son on the bow and the
large swells that we get in Lake Ontario.
