Just keep in mind that eventually 2-stroke may be
banned from use entirely. Many lakes already have
done so. If you look at tool catalogs, most 2-stroke
leaf blowers, trimmers, chainsaws, etc. state "Not
for sale in California".

By that time you may be ready for a new motor mount
again, or might beef up what you have, but it's a
consideration. The SS mount does have a much wider
strut/scissor mechanism than what I have, so it may
work okay. Here's what I have now, and it is woefully
inadequate for an 8hp 4-stroke:
