ventilation
I just checked on our boat sitting in water for the winter. This is
the first year for the boat in freezing weather. It had quite a bit
of moisture on the roof over the v-berth and none in the cabin area.
There was about 1" in the bilge below the v-berth (I had the v-berth
cover open). All cushions are removed.
I had 2 small dehydrators in the cabin area and they had dissolved
all the crystals. I moved them to the v-berth area to see if they
will help. I have a blue plastic tarp over the cabin and cockpit.
I'm thinking of putting a ventilator on the boat but really don't
want to mount it on the deck. Does anyone have an opinion if a
ventilator could be mounted vertically on the companion door? That
would be the quickest and simplist thing I can do because I have
extra boards for the companion way.
