You could put louvers in the companion boards.

Maybe devise a way to open the fwd hatch just
a hair... put a piece of 1/8 or 1/16 line
between the hatch and the deck. 

On my boat there is a direct link (now 
bulkheads) between the aft locker and the
area under the cockpit, so leaving the door
under the step open and keeping the aft hatch
cracked open slightly (again, 1/8" line) should
let some air in.

A small fan to keep the air below decks circulating
might help out too.
